Non-Repelling Chemicals

These chemicals are not identifiable by termites. Given they do not avoid the chemical, they will go through the chemical and die after coming into contact with it. They often also transfer the chemical on to other colony members that they come into contact with, thus creating a compounding effect.

Because termites do not detect non repellents, they do not recognise the difference between treated and untreated locations, and therefore access via possible gaps is restricted.

The most common used non-repellent is Fipronil which has a residual life span of as much as eight years.
