Best in the business. Quality service and price!! Highly recommend!!!
John Chidiac
Real Estate Property Manager. Prior to the introduction I had used other companies who did not offer the same professional service I attained from these guys. No job was too small or too big and they were always contactable and were able to attend to the job quickly. The quality of their service and the work performed is second to none. I have used the company for my own family needs as well and I will never again use another company for my pest control needs.

I have been using this business for pest control for number of years after having a number of other pest control companies failing to ensure unwanted inserts and spiders were not around our place. They seem to have the environmental toxic free products and satisfy the pest problem and it seems to last the year. Highly recommend this business would not consider another pest business. Valued customer.

Termite Prevention & Protection

Termites are known across Australia as ‘white ants’. These frequent household pests create untold levels of damage to houses throughout Clontarf on a yearly basis, creating a strong requirement for termite prevention.

Termite Removal

There are numerous potential treatments for termites, so let us look at them briefly. There’s two main management strategies performed for termite control: one is the total eradication of the colony with baiting, and the other is using chemical treatment to make a barrier between the home and the colony. Call us today to find out more about the costs involved with the various treatment options.

Typically, in Clontarf, termite specialists will make use of a chemical treatment as the preferred form management strategy for killing termites, however, colony elimination through baiting also has specific advantages and should also be considered.

To make sure the job is carried out right, it’s advised to have a trusted pest exterminator in to review the situation.

Chemical Treatments For Termites

Repelling Chemicals

Repellent chemicals offer great protection from termites as they are easily identified and strongly avoided by them. Unfortunately, when there is a gap in the chemical, either from being unable to access all areas, or if a treated area is later compromised, termites may identify the gaps and gain entry.

The frequently used repellent is Bifenthrin, which has a residual life of as many as five years after application.

Non-Repellent Chemicals

Non repellent treatments are not identified by termites, and so they will not avoid the treated areas. As a result of this, termites will move through the chemical and die because of exposure to it. Individual termites transfer the chemical to other colony members, resulting in a flow on effect.

Because termites are unable to detect these non-repellents, they find no distinction between areas that are treated and the ones that are not, so there is likely to be less ingress through gaps.

The most frequently used non repellent chemical is Fipronil with a residual life span of up to 8 years.

Great company, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and awesome results. Called Andrew and let him know what we were seeing. Andrew was wonderful, helped me determine what type of creepy crawlers we had in our home and was able to get someone out really quick. Adam came out to treat our apartment for cockroaches and from start to finish I was super impressed. Adam was friendly, answered all my questions, and gave me some insight and tips to help with our problem. They are a reliable and effective company who I won't hesitate to call again! Highly recommend.

Andrew the owner who is quite the comedian sent out Adam the exterminator to do general pest control and rodent control on my property and my two neighbors in January on the same day. Try them and you wont be disappointed. Highly recommend!!!

Baiting Systems For Termites

Used to eliminate termites within a house, Above Ground Systems position bait stations directly where there is termite activity, so the termites feed upon the bait matrix and not the wood they have been infesting until now. As well as killing the white ants that eat the bait at the source, there is also a compounding effect when worker termites feed the bait to further colony members.

An entire colony may be destroyed in this fashion, regardless of if the position of the colony is known or not. The area should continue to be regularly monitored so if required, stations can be rebaited or moved, or more can be added, depending on the observed white ant activity.

In Ground Systems can be used similarly to Above Ground Systems. However they are typically installed around the property to provide early detection of termites. This method is especially important when the building design prevents the effective use of perimeter barriers, as they stop the termites before the perimeter is breached.

Baiting System Advantages

  • Adaptable protection against white ants
  • Poor weather does not impact effectiveness
  • Safe for use around kids and pets
  • Ecologically friendly

Common Signs That You May Have Termites

There are several indications that your home has a white ant infestation:

  • Small holes found in drywall and/or timber
  • Wood that is damaged and crumbling
  • Evidence of mud tubes on the brickwork, wood, ceiling and/or sub-floor areas
  • Trees in the area show signs of nests & mounds
  • Winged termites (alates) can be seen swarming from the nest

How Much Damage Can A Colony Of Termites Really Do?

Termites may cause significant damage to structural components in your home. If severe, the infestation can make a structure unsafe for habitation. Contact Clontarf Termite Pest Control today, and arrange for one of our termite prevention experts to come and examine your Clontarf residence.

Extremely happy with the services provided, we had a very knowledgeable technician Sean came to attend to the possum issue in our townhouse, Sean found the openings where the possums came in on the roof right away and patched them up. When the previous pest control company failed to do. But being a two level building with a separated garage roof, it was very difficult to trap the possums still inside, but Andrew the boss and Sean kept trying and finally got the problem all solved. Friendly to talk to and easy to work with so Highly recommended.

I had Benjamin come to our place on Monday because I was worried we had a spider problem. He identified a major funnel web spider situation. Benjamin was so thorough and considerate because I was very scared having three small children. He went above and beyond to make sure he spent as much time as needed to treat every single spider hole in our yard. He has arranged to come back in 2 weeks time just to make sure we are all safe for the Christmas period. So grateful for all his help. Highly recommend!

Ben is an absolute gentleman. Extremely polite and courteous and was very thorough in his work. He even took the time to explain different aspects of his job and the various insects and how he gets rid of them. Absolute champion. Hoping this will be the start of a long relationship with Andrew and his team. Cheers.
